Mini Story of the Song

Coconut Mama Meaning:

The lyrics to the song Coconut Mama was first written by the six year old Isabelle Dubroy about her mom who is very important in Isabelle's life. Isabelle is a talented young actress, singer, dancer, writer, composer, and model who is seven now.

The meaning behind the song is that Isabelle views her Mama as being soft on the inside and hard on the outside just like a coconut. Her mama is disciplinary but also loving. In the song Isabelle conveys her that her mama is tough but she has to be to take care of Isabelle. And she is appreciative that her mom, Lima Smith-Dubroy is there for her.
